the words beyond my jewelry

the words beyond my jewelry is a collection that will grow over time. It is inspired by Join, a pendant that, at some point, questioned its role and wanted to share its story. The collection includes various pieces, regardless of the year of creation or the concept behind them. The focus here is just on words and stories.

Cage - bangle
THE  STRENGTH OF LIGHTNESS
The story of CAGE

[...]
“Look at me,” I said “I’m an iron cage incapable of the slightest movement. I couldn’t imagine I was keeping you prisoner, and now that I know, I can’t let you go. It’s like…” I hesitated, looking for words, “it’s like a curse! Why can’t I set you free?” I asked, “am I this bad?”
“You are not bad,” the voice reassured me. “You love us instead.”
“Love you?” I echoed in disbelief. “How can I keep you prisoner, then?”
“You love us from your heart,” answered the same voice, “but even the love of the heart can hold you captive sometimes” [...]

The Forest, The Desert, The Ocean - brooches
TRUE PEACE
A dialogue between THE FOREST,  THE DESERT and THE OCEAN

[…] Forest:
Yes, probably. But we all know how much the planet  needs peace. Why do you think it won’t last?

Desert: Because this is not peace. It comes from fear.
Ocean: Fear?
Desert: Something must terrify humans. This is the reason they all seem so quiet lately.
Forest: Something that terrifies them? What could it be?
Desert: Honestly, I don’t know.
Ocean: Come on, don’t make it so complicated! Could it just be that humans have chosen peace?
Desert: No, I don’t think so. They are not ready yet.
Ocean: And why shouldn’t they be?

La Rose - ring
THE MEANING OF TIME
The story of LA ROSE

[...]
How was it possible I never considered that before? How could I have been so blind?
I still cannot express the importance of that realization.

In a moment, everything had changed.
Peace and a sense of deep fulfillment were all inside me. Nothing seemed to be real anymore, yet everything was perfect.
I guess I should have shouted and jumped with joy, but I closed my eyes and stood still.

IMAGINATION DOESN'T TAKE MUCH EFFORT
The story of CONFETTI

[…]
Then, just when I thought we would all die from sadness, it happened. We heard a slight, slithering noise, then some words followed. “Come on, fellows, we can’t lie on the floor forever.” Stick Five had bravely broken the silence. He took a deep, heavy breath and said: “We can do something. We can still do something.” His voice was hoarse, but determined, his entire body shaking, but struggling to gather strength and move.
As if inspired by him, Stick Four reached out, trying to help.

SIMPLICITY
A dialogue between STONES

[...]
Teal Stone: And isn’t that a problem? I mean, do you really think it is ok to be simple?

Purple Stone and Written Stone: Sure it is!
Teal Stone: But we are a brooch! A brooch is not supposed to be…
Written Stone: Why not? A brooch is a brooch. Forget about being supposed.
Purple Stone: Written is right.
Teal Stone: I’m confused.
Purple Stone: It looks like you are mistaking being simple with being of no value.

DO YOU DREAM IN COLOR?
The story of VEILLUSION

[...]
In time, I became convinced that the purpose of dreams is to help us better understand ourselves and our lives. This persuaded me even more about them being real. But it was only when someone asked me an illuminating question that I finally found my truth.
One day, a man who probably knew of my interest approached me. He smiled with curiosity and asked: ‘Do you dream in color?’

Baloo - bangle
MY FRIEND'S EYES
The story of BALOO

[...]
No need to say that this makes me feel uncomfortable, sometimes even embarrassed. I try, but I don’t know what to answer. I’m sure that if I told them I didn’t put on weight, they wouldn’t believe me. And honestly, I understand them because they perceive me just as the mirror does. They see me as chubby!
I even tried to be more active recently. I started running and working out weekly, but nothing has changed so far.
I’m getting so used to people focusing on my appearance that yesterday, when I met a friend I hadn’t seen for a while, it surprised me he didn’t even touch the subject.

Jumping Colors - ring
THE WEAKEST ONE
A dialogue between JUMPING COLORS

[…] Purple: Your enthusiasm is contagious! How can you do that?
Blue: I don't do anything. I just jump.
Purple: No, seriously, can I ask you a question?
Blue: Sure!
Purple: How is it you are never tired of all this jumping?
Blue: Sometimes I am. I have good days and bad days, just like you.
Purple: I can’t believe it. We have always jumped together, but I never heard you saying you were sick or tired. Not even once!
Blue: Listen, this is what you…
Purple: Don’t be nice to me. I know I’m the one who gets tired, the one who is always complaining… I’m the weakest, and you are the strongest.
Blue: That’s your opinion.
Purple: That’s what I see. Have you ever stopped jumping? […]

Join - pendant
WHO AM I?
The story of JOIN

[...]
Additional questions came up. ‘Who am I?’ ‘What’s my purpose?’ ‘Is there more to my life? Or is it just about hanging on my necklace?’ ‘What’s the meaning of a pendant?’ Then again, ‘Am I just a pendant?’ No. I didn’t feel like I was just a pendant anymore.
Something had happened inside me that made me change how I see the world. And once it happens, you can’t go back. So I decided to embrace my path with no fear and live my life from a fresh perspective.
